CHRYSLER, FORD ADD REBATES ON HOT MODELS

Chrysler Corp. hopes to lure more first-time buyers to its popular Neon with $400 rebates on 1995 models.

Customers get cash back on all new Neon Highline and Sport models only; base models are excluded.

The deal is set to expire on March 31.

The cash back on Neon can be used in combination with Chrysler's current $400 allowance for recent college graduates.

The 'college grad' cash applies to all 1994 and 1995 Chrysler vehicles.

Dodge extended its engine upgrade offer on Dodge Ram Van Magnum and Dodge Ram 1500.

Both vehicles will be upgraded to the 5.9-liter V-8 engine at no charge.

The offer expires Jan. 31.

Ford boosted its discount on the Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable.

Dealers are giving $750 rebates on both the 1995 Taurus and Sable until Jan. 4. (See story on Page 25.)
