John McDonald and Dwayne Hawkins of Crown Eurocars in Dublin, Ohio, celebrated the opening of their new Mercedes-Benz showroom by showcasing the Mercedes-powered car Al Unser Jr. drove to victory in the Indy 500 this year.

Gallo Motor Center Corp. in Worcester, Mass., has acquired Imported Cars of Worcester and renamed it Gallo Mazda-Volvo. Gallo Motor Center also has Oldsmobile, Saturn and Mitsubishi franchises.

BEGINNINGS

The following dealers have signed with Chevrolet: William Adkins of Newport Beach Chevrolet-Geo in Newport Beach, Calif.; R. Scott Preusse of Scott-Preusse Inc. in Redwood Falls, Minn.; and Thomas Worts of High Point Chevrolet in Sussex, N.J.

Five Land Rover Centres have opened. The Centres are Land Rover North America Inc.'s new retail concept offering customers four-wheel-drive products and services. The principals of the new outlets are: Mark Hennessy of Land Rover North Point in Alpharetta, Ga.; William 'Biff' Brotherton of Land Rover Seattle in Seattle; Red Noland of Land Rover Colorado Springs in Colorado Springs, Colo.; Tom Mix of Land Rover MetroWest in Natick, Mass; and Steve Knappenberger of Land Rover Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Ariz.

CITIZENSHIP

Arthur MacIntire of MacIntire Chevrolet-Geo in Akron, Ohio, donated a 1994 Chevrolet Beretta to the local Drug Abuse Resistance Education program.
