CHEVY MAY MISS 1 MILLION MARK

Lack of product availability caused by slow startups of the new Lumina, Monte Carlo, Cavalier and Geo Metro may cause Chevrolet to fall short of selling 1 million cars in 1994. It would be the first time that has happened since 1952.

Total car sales through November: 925,878.

November sales: 73,208, down 6.6 percent from November 1993.

Projected 1994 sales total: 996,000.

Sales in 1952: 852,542.
