Problem: On pickups equipped with the 2.2-liter engine, an engine backfire could cause vacuum hose to detach from brake booster check valve. Condition causes increased engine idle speed and loss of power assist for the brakes.

Fix: Truck dealerships will install a clamp on the power brake booster vacuum hose.

How many: About 32,000 trucks.

1994-95 SAAB 900

Problem: Front seat frames may not have the proper number of arc welds.

Fix: Dealers will install new seats.

How many: 10,584 cars.
