2015 Porsche Macan
Porsche is poised to add a second crossover to its lineup when the compact Macan goes on sale in the spring. U.S. sales of the Macan are projected to total more than 10,000 in 2014 and top 16,000 in 2015, IHS Automotive estimates, resulting in Porsche becoming an SUV company that also engineers and markets revered sports cars. With a broad range of Macan variants planned -- a four-cylinder and diesel option among them -- the German carmaker's annual global sales will be on track to top the 200,000 mark for the first time.
Pricing will start at $49,900, plus $995 destination, for the Macan S.
