Chrysler Group has mounted a Lazarus-like comeback in the United States on the strength of its Jeep lineup and Ram pickups. Its car line, long a weakness, has played a smaller role, with a few sedans undergoing a facelift along with modest styling tweaks and terminated slow sellers such as the Caliber. That changes early next year with a redesign of the Chrysler 200 family car, a project that may be the company’s most expensive.

Dodge Neon


The Dodge Neon, pictured, as well as the short-lived Plymouth Neon, were Chrysler's offerings in the compact car market starting in the early 1990s. The vehicles never seriously challenged the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla, and were replaced with the Dodge Caliber.
