Mercedes R class

The R class was conceived during the brief marriage of Daimler AG and Chrysler in the late 1990s and early 2000s. It shared the same platform as the Mercedes ML and GL SUVs. While some debated whether it was a wagon or a minivan, the Mercedes R class never flourished as a big seller or game changer in a U.S. sea of crossovers and SUVs.
