2014 Subaru Forester

The revamped 2014 Forester -- a cornerstone of Subaru's product lineup for years -- goes on sale next spring with few changes to its standard 170-horsepower engine. Subaru says small gains in fuel economy have been achieved by switching transmissions. Updates to the Forester's turbocharged boxer engine will raise output to 250 horsepower from 224. Torque has also been boosted in the turbo engine — to 258 pound-feet, from 226, Subaru says.
