The North American auto show season resumed this week with a slew of new and refreshed car and light-truck models in the spotlight in Los Angeles.

2014 Mazda6

The new Mazda6 mid-sized sedan goes on sale in January and while there’s no V-6 or turbocharged version planned, it will come equipped with a Skyactiv-G 184-horsepower 2.5-liter engine. A Skyactiv-D 2.2-liter diesel will be available in the second half of 2013 - making Mazda the first Japanese automaker to market a diesel model stateside.
