Contenders for North American Car and Truck/Utility of Year

Japanese automakers placed 9 vehicles and the Detroit 3 placed 8 on the short list of entries in the running for the 2013 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards. Altogether, 11 cars and 10 trucks/utilities were chosen. Finalists will be named in December and the winners will be unveiled in January.
