The revamped ES350 sedan -- featuring Lexus' new signature grille -- is equipped with the same 3.5-liter V-6 engine used in the Camry SE. For the first time a hybrid will be offered that combines a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine with Lexus' hybrid drive system. It is expected to receive a combined EPA rating of 40 miles per gallon, Lexus says. With a revised suspension, increased body rigidity and improved steering, Lexus chief Mark Templin vows the new "ES is so good … it can go toe-to-toe with cars in more expensive segments ... like the Mercedes Benz E Class."
