Chevrolet City Express
Last modified: 02/10/14
The City Express, unveiled at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show and scheduled to arrive at all 3,200 Chevy dealers Q3 2014, is a near copy of the Nissan NV200. It likely will be powered by a Nissan 2.0-liter four-cylinder combined with a CVT.

The Chevrolet and Nissan versions will compete in the small but growing niche that was created in 2009 by the Transit Connect. Fuel economy is likely to be identical to that of the NV200's: 24 city, 25 highway, 24 combined. That falls short of the highest EPA-rated 2014 Transit Connect at 22 city, 30 highway, 25 combined. The van will have 127 cubic feet of cargo room with a hauling capacity of 1,500 lbs.

Pricing has not been announced, but the van, built in Mexico, is likely to be close in price to the Transit Connect, which starts at $22,995, including shipping.
