|Hyundai Tucson fuel cell|
Last modified: 12/14/13
Hyundai will beat competitors Honda and Toyota to market with a retail-ready fuel cell vehicle when its hydrogen-powered Tucson compact crossover debuts in the spring of 2014. The crossover will be available only in Southern California through a three-year lease costing $499 per month after a $2,999 down payment, plus free hydrogen fuel. The Tucson, similar to the Honda and Toyota FCEVs, has a range of about 300 miles, refuels in a few minutes and fits its fuel cell stack cleanly under the hood, without compromising the car's interior space.
