The results? Through October, the automaker's sales have shot up 12 percent, compared with the industry's 8 percent gain. The company's market share has climbed 0.5 percentage point, the industry's biggest gain, to 16.0 percent. The Ford brand's 15.5 percent share, up 0.6 point, is nearly three points ahead of No. 2 Chevrolet.
