Ford Mustang
Last modified: 04/07/14
Ford's American pony car is going international, and that means big changes for the 2015 model year. The 2015 Mustang arrives near the end of 2014 with new sheet metal, an upgraded interior featuring soft-touch materials and brushed aluminum. The sixth-generation Mustang will get an independent rear suspension and will be offered with turbocharging for the first time since the limited-edition Mustang SVO of the 1980s. Ford is offering three engines: a base 3.7-liter V-6, a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and a 5.0-liter V-8. A convertible version will debut at the same time as the fastback coupe.

The redesigned Mustang will include Ford's AppLink smartphone connectivity system. It will get a backup camera; push-button ignition; and cross-traffic alert, which warns drivers of traffic when backing out of parallel and perpendicular parking spaces; forward collision warning; and adaptive cruise control.
