Cadillac LTS
Last modified: 02/24/14
After more than a decade of rumors, a big, rear-wheel-drive Cadillac sedan looks to be a go. The sedan, called the LTS for now, will be the first vehicle to be built on GM's new rwd platform code-named Omega. It is expected to go on sale in mid- to late 2015 as a 2016 model.

Look for the twin-turbo V-6 as part of the powertrain lineup, combined with an eight-speed transmission. It's a candidate for GM's future 10-speed transmission once it's ready in 2016. It will feature a longer dash-to-axle and more upright front end than Cadillac's recent entries.

The LTS will be a competitor to the BMW 7 series and the Mercedes-Benz S class.
