DETROIT -- Chrysler Group and a Detroit clothing company have reached a settlement in a lawsuit over the use of the "Imported from Detroit" slogan on T-shirts.

Terms of the settlement haven't been released.

Chrysler filed a lawsuit in March 2011 against the owners of clothing maker Pure Detroit for using the "Imported from Detroit" slogan, made popular by the automaker's 2011 Super Bowl ad featuring rapper Eminem and the Chrysler 200.

Both companies have Web sites that sell clothing and other products with the "Imported from Detroit" slogan.

Pure Detroit said the slogan was false advertising for Chrysler since the featured vehicles are built outside the city.

The two companies held a settlement conference last month.

Chrysler did not comment on the terms, but a company spokesman released this statement: "The dispute has been resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties. The terms of the settlement are confidential."
