Audi Q5 SUV will be launched at LA show

Audi will unveil the Q5 premium SUV at the Los Angeles auto show in November, company sources say.

The Q5 is Audi’s second SUV after the Q7 in March 2006. The Q5 is based on the new A4 lower-premium car. Sales of the Q5 start in Europe next summer and in the US early next year.

Audi will build the Q5 at its factory in Ingolstadt, Germany. Its rivals will be the BMW X3 and new Mercedes-Benz GLK.
