Dr. Glenn Omura is a professor of marketing at Michigan State University. At Michigan State, he pioneered MBA courses in strategic planning, managing change, entrepreneurial marketing, competitor analysis, and competitive strategy. Business Week has cited him as the top marketing professor at Michigan State since 1994. He was awarded with the Outstanding Core Faculty Award by MBA students, and the recipient of the 2003 Quality of Excellence Award at Michigan State. He has served on the Executive Board of the Society of Competitive Intelligence professionals, as Vice President of the American Marketing Association, and President of the Marketing and Entrepreneurship Group of the American Marketing Association. His research has appeared in the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Macro Marketing, Journal of Retailing, International Journal of Retailing, Journal of the Marketing Research Society, and Business, among others. One of his articles won the Charles Slater Best Paper Award in the Journal of Macro Marketing.
